The fetal MRI and placental MRI service offered by STH is a well known and well respected service. It developed from the research work started at the University of Sheffield in 1998 and research still informs the service development.

The service is happy to accept referrals for both imaging or just for reporting and a second opinion.

Several centres refer their patients to Sheffield for imaging, others use Sheffield’s imaging protocol locally and send the images for reporting.

An SLA can be set up if you wish to have a formal reporting arrangement. This is done as a case per cases basis at a small cost to your trust.
